Hospital Medicine APC Fellowship Overview
The Department of Hospital Medicine at Regions Hospital is offering a post-graduate program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Hospital Medicine. The Hospital Medicine APC Fellowship Program will offer the learner extensive training in Hospital Medicine through a variety of teaching environments and subspecialties.

The mission of the HealthPartners Hospital Medicine APC Fellowship is to train highly-qualified APCs to become skilled, compassionate, efficient hospitalist providers with a focus on population health.
Using the Society of Hospital Medicine Core Competencies as the foundation of study, the APC will have the opportunity to continue their development of critical thinking skills, clinical competence, inter-professional collaboration, and business practices for successful practice as an APC (PA/NP) hospitalist. The 12- month fellowship focuses on the requisite skills necessary to effectively assess manage, coordinate, and deliver, cost effective, evidenced based care to adult individuals (18 years and above) dealing with chronic, acute/urgent, critical illness/injury, and terminal illness.
Hospital Medicine APC Fellow will devote a significant portion of their training to hospital medicine. They will have required rotations in specialty areas essential for proficiency in hospital medicine.

- 6 months Hospital Medicine
- 6 weeks Critical Care/Pulmonary
- 4 weeks Cardiology
- 2 weeks Infectious Disease
- 2 weeks Nephrology
- 2 weeks Neurology
- 2 weeks Hematology/Oncology
- 2 weeks Emergency Medicine
- 2 weeks Palliative Care
- 2 weeks Hospital Medicine at partner community hospital
