Undergrad: University of Iowa | Grad: University of Colorado

2024-2025 Primary Care APC Fellow

I started my nursing career in emergency medicine after graduating from the University of Iowa in 2010. A few years later, travel nursing adventures landed me in the mountains of Colorado. I obtained my MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2017, and my MSN-FNP in May of 2023. I moved to Minnesota to be my fiancé and his two children in July 2023.

I am drawn to family practice because I truly believe that small, incremental changes are impactful to overall health and happiness in our lives. Family medicine allows providers to support patients as they optimize their health through these small improvements and bigger ones. However, being a family medicine provider requires extensive knowledge due to the broad nature of the field. The Primary Care APC Fellowship is the ideal opportunity to start rounding out my novice provider knowledge when transitioning into practice.

On a personal note, I love learning new skills and attempting new challenges. Over the years, some of these have included snowboarding, pickleball (still working on this one!), running a marathon, dog training, cooking, and playing musical instruments.
