2026-2027 Primary Care APC Fellow
Hello! My name is Jaime Miller. I graduated from the University of Minnesota this past spring with my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and am a newly licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. I also earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota in 2005. Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a registered nurse in cardiothoracic step-down, cardiovascular intensive care, and emergency department settings. My time in the ED opened my eyes to how many patients struggle with unmanaged chronic conditions that lead to declining health and frequent hospitalizations. These experiences sparked my passion for primary care and motivated me to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, where I can focus on prevention, health promotion, and helping patients lead healthier lives.
I chose to pursue the Primary Care Fellowship because of my passion for providing care to individuals and families across the lifespan. I recognize that the transition from registered nurse to nurse practitioner involves a significant learning curve, and I value the opportunity this fellowship providers for structured support, guided experience, and dedicated mentorship. I believe this program will help me continue developing the knowledge, confidence, and clinical judgement necessary to become the best possible provider for my patients and community.
Outside of work, I’m married and have three children, along with three dogs, so our house is pretty lively! I enjoy attending my kids’ sporting events, spending time outdoors, and staying active. I’m a fitness instructor at Farrell’s Extreme Body Shaping and am currently working toward my black belt in karate. I am truly honored and excited to be part of the HealthPartners Primary Care Fellowship and look forward to working with everyone at the Park Nicollet Rogers Clinic!
