2026-2027 Primary Care APC Fellow
My name is Hayley Morkeberg. I live in Minneapolis with my husband and our playful bernedoodle puppy. I graduated from St. Olaf College in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and Spanish and later completed my doctorate in nursing practice at the University of Minnesota in 2025. As a nurse, I’ve worked in neonatal and adult inpatient/COVID units as well as home-based elder care, supporting patients and families across the lifespan. I’ve especially valued working in community settings, helping families navigate complex health needs across cultures with compassion and curiosity.
I chose to become a Family Nurse Practitioner after noticing gaps in access to primary care and wanting to expand my scope, challenge my skills, and build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families. The HealthPartners APC Fellowship Program offers mentoring and collaborative learning with peers, which I know will strengthen my clinical skills as I transition to independent practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, listening to podcasts, playing piano, and sharing meals with friends and family.
