2025-2026 Primary Care APC Fellow

My career in healthcare began over a decade ago as a nursing assistant, becoming a registered nurse, and now, a family nurse practitioner graduating in May 2024 from Minnesota State University, Mankato. My nursing background is primarily in acute care, with a focus on intensive care and cardiac telemetry. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I’ve always aspired to work in primary care. This goal ultimately led me to pursue a degree as a family nurse practitioner.

I chose primary care in family practice because I enjoy the opportunity to help people of all ages, from children to adults. Developing long-lasting relationships with patients and collaborating with them to achieve optimal health is also what drew me. I appreciate the diversity of patient needs, ranging from well visits to acute concerns and chronic conditions. As a lifelong learner, I have continuously sought new opportunities to advance my career, leading me to pursue becoming an advanced practice provider. The HealthPartners APC Primary Care Fellowship is the next natural step in my professional journey. I am eager to refine my clinical practice and embrace the challenges of this role.

Outside of work, I am passionate about the outdoors and staying active. During warmer months, I enjoy camping, hiking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Even in Minnesota’s cold winters, I am thrilled to get outside to snowboard, snowshoe, or cross-country ski.
