2023-2024 Urgent Care APC Fellow
I began my healthcare journey by going to school in my home state of North Dakota, training to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After moving to Minneapolis, my love for patient care led me to further my education and become a Registered Nurse (RN), an experience that enriched my perspective of healthcare and gave me the opportunity to serve in diverse settings – from primary care and community medicine to inpatient medicine. But it’s been my extensive experience in Urgent Care that has felt most rewarding and compelling, and having become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I am excited to be pursuing a fellowship in Urgent Care.
This fellowship is more than just the next step in my career. For me, it’s a significant step in my ongoing commitment to delivering the best possible care to patients. Throughout this journey, I aim to absorb as much as I can, sharpen my skills, and contribute to better health outcomes in our community. I believe that every interaction, treatment, and decision in this fast-paced environment can make a significant impact on people’s lives, and I am motivated to be part of this difference.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my trusty Corgi, Bandit, either sitting outside or going on long, evening walks. When not on our walking adventures, you’ll often find me playing singles on the tennis court. These activities help me balance my professional life and bring me a lot of joy. As I start this fellowship, I look forward to enriching experiences, continuous learning, and making a positive impact on our patients’ lives.
